First Minister’s Reading Challenge
Our P5-7 pupils had a fantastic morning in the High School library taking part in activities, as part of the First Minister’s Reading Challenge. Pupils discovered new books through speed dating, made bookmarks and even did a treasure hunt in the library. Thanks to Mrs Arkley and Mrs Jones for arranging this.
Learning about Wildfires
We had a presentation about wildfires from the Fire Service and the National Trust for Scotland. Thanks to Gavin Skipper for organising this.

Bronze Rights Respecting Schools Award
We are delighted to have been award the Bronze Rights Respecting Schools Award. In assembly today our Rights Respecting Committee let all pupils know what their next steps are. They are going to place a worry box in the school, going to establish playground monitors and going to focus on a different Right every fortnight….

Paired Reading
We are taking part in a paired reading project with the High School. A great time was had with the English Medium class and when the Gaelic Medium pupils visited the nursery.
